Passenger Facilities

Nottingham is a fully staffed station. Tickets can be purchased from the ticket office or from ticket machines

There are lifts from the the overbridge by the main concourse down to each platform. There is a footbridge from Station Street to all platforms which also links to the tram platforms.

There are toilets located on the Southern Concourse, Platform 1/3 and Platform 5/6.

There are 140 cycle spaces including at the Cycle hub located on ground floor of the multi-storey car park on Queens Road.  Additional stands in secure compound adjacent to Platform 1 on Station Road.

Cycle hub open 24 hours.  Changing facilities and toilet available.  Cycle repairs available at Russell’s Bicycle Shed.  Bike hire is available from City Card Cycles

Getting to and from Nottingham Station

Nottingham Station is at the south end of the city centre and is a 10 to 15 minute to the Old Market Square. Alternatively there are many local bus services or the tram that stops at the station.

Parking at the Station

East Midlands Railway operate a 500 space multi storey car park on Queens Road.  The car park is free for up to 20 minutes and the tickets don’t have to be validated for this amount of time.

Parking charges vary dependent on the time of day and include £5.00 off-peak and £9.50 daily.  A weekly ticket is £36 and monthly £120.

Local Bus and Tram Services from Nottingham

Many bus services to the south of the city operate from outside the front of the station from the various bus stops on Carrington Street including numerous bus services to Trent Bridge and West Bridgford and Skylink to East Midlands Airport.

The ‘Nottingham Express Transit’ the cities tram network serves Nottingham station. The tram stop, located above the station, is accessible either from the station footbridge or the lift from Station Street. Nottingham Station is at the centre of the tram network with frequent services into the city centre and northwards to Hucknall and Phoenix Park and southwards to Wilford, Clifton, Queen’s Medical Centre, Beeston and Toton.

Tickets start from just £1 for a ‘Short Hop’ ticket into the city centre.  Nottingham PLUSBUS tickets are accepted for travel on the NET tram system. For route and times information: www.thetram.net

When trains are replaced by buses rail replacement buses will pick up and drop off from Carrington Street, at the front of the station.

Plusbus Nottingham

A Nottingham PlusBus ticket gives you unlimited bus & tram travel on all bus  operators’ services, around the whole urban area of Nottingham city. This includes bus travel to/from the University of Nottingham & Nottingham Trent University.

On Nottingham Express Transit (tram) PlusBus tickets are only valid as far north as the Moor Bridge tram stop.

Taxis
